Ugly Kid Joe-America’s Least Wanted
“คุณจำเทปเพลงม้วนแรกที่คุณซื้อกันได้มั้ยครับ”
ที่ถามขึ้นมานี่ไม่ใช่อะไรครับ จริงๆ ผมเองก็จำไม่ได้เหมือนกัน(แล้วจะถามทำไม)^^ เอาเป็นว่าชุดที่ผมกำลังจะเขียนถึงนี้เป็นม้วนแรกๆ ที่ผมซื้อมาฟังล่ะกันครับ
แล้วผมจะมาเขียนถึงเรื่องนี้ทำไมล่ะ ก็เพราะ เรื่องของเรื่องมันมีอยู่ว่า….เมื่อกี้เข้าไปหาดูอะไรใน Amazon มานิดหน่อยครับ แล้วอยู่ดีๆ ก็นึกถึงเรื่องนี้ขึ้นมา แล้วก็พยายามนึกว่าผมเคยซื้อเทปของใครบ้าง(แบบว่าซื้อเองนะครับ ไม่เกี่ยวกับของพี่ๆ) เลยเข้าไป Search หาดู แล้วก็เจอ Album ของวงนี้ครับ Ugly Kid Joe ชุด America’s Least Wanted
Album นี้ออกมาตั้งแต่ปี 92 โน่น…ครับ ที่ซื้อเทปนี่มาไม่ใช่ว่ารู้จักเพลงของวงนี้หรอกนะครับ ที่ซื้อมาด้วยเหตุผลเดียวเลยคือหน้าปก ^^ ด้วยความที่หน้าปกของวงนี้ เอารูปเทพีเสรีภาพ มาล้อเลียนเป็นตัวการ์ตูน เป็นเด็กผู้ชาย มือข้างนึงชูนิ้วกลาง อีกข้างนึงถือหนังสือโป๊ -*- แบบในรูปที่เอามาให้ดูนั่นแหละครับ — ผมชอบปก Album นี้มากถึงขนาดที่เอาไปวาดติดหลังกระดานที่ใช้ เรียนวาดรูปทุกอันจนจบม.ปลายเลยทีเดียวครับ
ตอนนั้นดูปกไม่เป็น เดาไม่ออกเลยว่ามันจะเป็นเพลงประเภทไหน พอเอากลับไปเปิดฟัง ถึงได้รู้ว่าเพลงในอัลบั้มนี้เป็นเพลงร็อค ออกไปทางเฮฟวี่ครับ ฟังแรกๆ จะงงๆ มึนๆ เล็กน้อย แต่ฟังไปนานๆ เออ…มันก็มันส์ดีแหะ ^^
เพลงที่ติดหูผมมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้มีอยู่ 2-3 เพลง ครับ นั่นก็คือ So Damn Cool,Everything About You และเพลงสุดท้ายนี่น่าจะคุ้นหูหลายๆ หลายคนในบ้านเรากันเลยทีเดียว นั่นก็คือเพลง Cat’s In The Cradle ครับ เพราะว่าเพลงนี้ที่เมื่อหลายๆ ปีก่อน บ้านเราเอามาใช้เป็นเพลงประกอบโฆษณาตัวหนึ่ง ที่เกี่ยวกับการรณรงค์ไม่สูบบุหรี่ครับ ซึ่งจริงๆ แล้ว ต้นฉบับเพลงนี้เป็นเพลงของ Harry Chapin แต่วง Ugly Kid Joe เอามา Cover ใหม่ครับ ว่าแล้วมาฟังเพลงนี้กันสักหน่อยดีมั้ยครับ

Ive long since retired, my sons moved away.
I called him up just the other day.
Id like to see you, if you don’t mind.
He said, I’d love to, dad, if I could find the time.
You see my new jobs a hassle and the kids have the flu,
But it’s sure nice talkin to you, dad.
Its been sure nice talkin to you.
And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me,
Hed grown up just like me.
My boy was just like me.

เขียนเรื่องเพลงนี่สนุกดีเหมือนกันแหะ….วันหลังเขียนอีกได้มั้ยเนี่ย จะมีคนอ่านรึเปล่าหว่า???

เพลงเพราะดีครับนึกถึงตอนหนุ่มๆ ของผมแรกๆ ก็ต้องโน่นเลย วงชาตรีที่มีเพลงยากยิ่งนัก ยังร้องได้อยู่เลย 555
